Nizhny Novgorod Delegation Marks 25 Years of 'Altar of the Fatherland' with Historic Journey
A delegation from Nizhny Novgorod is commemorating the 25th anniversary of the 'Altar of the State' initiative. They are retracing the route of the 1612 People’s Militia, honouring their journey with rallies and a closing concert on Moscow’s Red Square.
The delegation began their journey on November 3, laying flowers at the Minin and Pozharsky Monument on Red Square. They then travelled to Balakhna, Purekh, Yuryevets, Kineshma, Kostroma, Yaroslavl, Rostov, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Peresvet, and Sergiev Posad. In each location, they held rallies and engaged with local youth, celebrating the historic path of the 1612 People’s Militia.
The journey culminates in a grand closing concert on Red Square, following the flower-laying ceremony. This event marks the 25th anniversary of the 'Altar of the State' initiative, honouring the brave militia who fought for their country centuries ago.
