Nizhny Novgorod expands parking along Gagarin Avenue to cut congestion
Nizhny Novgorod has added new parking spaces along Gagarin Avenue to ease long-standing congestion. The move follows repeated complaints from drivers about limited parking in the 'Shveitsariya' district, where only 200 spots were previously available.
The city’s urban planning authority has expanded parking between Meditsinskaya Street and 40 Let Oktyabrya Street. This stretch of Gagarin Avenue now offers extra capacity for vehicles.
The additional spaces should reduce parking shortages in 'Shveitsariya'. With more room for cars and better walkways, the changes target two key issues for local residents and visitors. The municipality has not announced further expansions at this time.
