Nizhny Novgorod Honors 28 Veterans as 'Merited', Including Rybakov and Gromova

The Nizhny Novgorod Region has honored 28 veterans as 'Merited Veterans' for their outstanding achievements after retirement. The event was organized by the regional Ministry of Social Policy and the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Veteran House. The honorary title 'Honored Veteran of the Nizhny Novgorod Region' was also awarded to several individuals, including Lyudmila Vitalyevna Gromova and Alexander Fedoseevich Rybakov.

Alexander Fedoseevich Rybakov, a veteran of labor from the Gorodets Municipal District, was among the honorees. He established the Gorodets District Branch of the All-Russian Public Organization of Veterans 'Battle Brotherhood' in 2014. Rybakov also initiated the 'Heirs of Victory' children's military-sports club named after Hero of Russia Krupinov A.A. Lyudmila Vitalyevna Gromova, a resident of the Sokolsky municipal district, was another awardee. She has led the local veteran organization for 20 years and initiated the creation of the 'Volzhanka' veteran club. Since its inception in 2004, around 1200 Nizhny Novgorod residents have received the honorary title 'Honored Veteran of the Nizhny Novgorod Region', which is awarded twice a year.

The awards recognize the significant contributions of these veterans to the development of veteran movements and other areas of public life in the region. The event was organized by the regional Ministry of Social Policy and the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Veteran House, with the title awarded by the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
