Nizhny Novgorod Honors Anti-Corruption Champions on International Day

An event marking International Anti-Corruption Day took place at the Corporate University of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Government. Organised by the regional Duma, the gathering recognised individuals and groups for their efforts in tackling corruption. High-ranking officials, including Deputy Governor Alexander Pavlov, attended the ceremony on December 9.

The ceremony saw 45 participants and prize winners receive awards. Among them were winners of the 'Combating Corruption' drawing contest, as well as runners-up from other anti-corruption competitions. These contests were organised by the regional Department of Education and Science and the Ministry of Culture.

The awards ceremony recognised both individuals and organisations for their contributions. The event reinforced the region’s focus on public engagement and education as key tools in the fight against corruption. Officials have confirmed that further initiatives will be rolled out under the ongoing state programme.
