Nizhny Novgorod honors fallen heroes on Military Intelligence Day
Nizhny Novgorod's 96th Separate Reconnaissance Brigade celebrated Military Intelligence Day with a series of honours and tributes. Deputy City Administration Head Vladimir Anisimov, a decorated veteran, and City Duma Speaker Yevgeny Chintsov led the ceremonies.
Anisimov, recipient of the Order of Courage, attended to congratulate the intelligence officers. Chintsov, a three-time Order of Courage awardee, personally greeted the personnel and presented certificates on behalf of the City Duma. The acting brigade commander, Lieutenant Colonel Alexey Borodovitsyn, awarded six soldiers with medals for 'Combat Merit' and 'Military Valor'. Notably, Yelena Klyukvina, mother of a fallen participant, received a commemorative medal in honour of her son Dmitry.
The celebrations recognised the bravery and dedication of the 96th Brigade's personnel. Their service and sacrifices were honoured, with family members like Yelena Klyukvina also recognised for their loss and resilience.
