Nizhny Novgorod officials tackle housing upgrades in key committee session
The Nizhny Novgorod City Duma’s Standing Committee on Municipal Services recently held a meeting to address key housing issues. Led by Nikolai Pavlovich Gusev, the session focused on renovations in rental properties and upgrades to courtyard areas. Major repairs and ongoing improvement projects were also on the agenda.
The committee, chaired by Pavel Pashinin, examined the progress of major repairs in shared apartment buildings. Since 2020, 522 such projects have been finished, costing nearly 4.7 billion rubles. These efforts aim to maintain and modernise communal spaces for residents.
The meeting underscored the city’s commitment to upgrading residential areas. With hundreds of buildings scheduled for repairs next year, officials will monitor progress closely. The investments made so far reflect ongoing efforts to improve living conditions across Nizhny Novgorod.
