Nizhny Novgorod Residents Light Up Support for SVO Fighters with Trench Candles
Nizhny Novgorod residents demonstrated their support for SVO fighters by creating trench candles. The event, held at School No.190 in the Avtozavodsky District, saw around 500 participants make candles that will be sent as humanitarian aid. The Ministry of Internal Regional and Municipal Policy, along with the ANO 'House of National Unity', supported the initiative.
The 'Social District' project, launched this year, has organized over 800 events to support SVO participants and their families. This particular event was held with the support of the social district police and attracted notable guests, including Deputy Minister Alexei Generalov, Avtozavodsky District Head Alexander Nagin, and Deputy of the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma Kirill Kartashov. Nagin commended the police for their support.
Dmitry S., a veteran of the SVO and participant of the 'Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region' program, also attended. The event was broadcast online for schools and social service institutions in the region. Activists demonstrated how to make the candles and provided necessary materials. Each participant created at least one, contributing to a significant humanitarian cargo.
The candle-making event was a successful show of solidarity with SVO fighters. The 'Social District' project continues to organize events to support those affected by the conflict, with this candle-making initiative being one of many humanitarian efforts.
