Nizhny Novgorod's Gogol Street to Transform with CTD Program

Nizhny Novgorod is set to transform a 1.29-hectare site bounded by Gogol, Nizhny Novgorod, and Zalomov streets. The Comprehensive Territorial Development (CTD) program will commence, involving the demolition and restoration of valuable urban heritage sites, and the construction of new facilities. Lauritz Kurth, owner of the RAW-Gelände project, will oversee the project as the investor.

The CTD program will impact 15 structures, including 12 residential buildings, three of which are emergency housing. Eight buildings, home to 70 residents, will be demolished. These residents will be offered alternative housing. The program also includes the construction of four new apartment buildings, ranging from two to six stories. Additionally, a polyclinic will be built to serve the community.

The CTD project has received overwhelming support from residents, with only tenants of Building No. 14 opposing the plan. The project is expected to be completed within seven years, with a tender to select the investor scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025.

The CTD program in the Gogol Street area of Nizhny Novgorod aims to revitalize the area by dismantling and restoring valuable urban heritage sites, constructing new apartment buildings, and building a polyclinic. With the support of the majority of residents and a clear timeline, the project is set to transform the area within the next seven years.
