Nizhny Novgorod's patriotic contest crowns 29th edition on March 19

The 29th city contest 'I Am Proud of You, Nizhny Novgorod!' will hold its final on March 19. The event forms part of the patriotic youth initiative 'Young Guardians of Nizhny Novgorod's Glory' and runs under the city's 'We Are Together!' mega-project. Organisers aim to promote civic pride and moral values among local students through the competition.

This year's final will take place at the V.P. Chkalov Palace of Young Pioneers. Scheduled from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the contest continues a long-standing tradition in the city. Since its launch, 28 previous editions have attracted over 1.2 million participants in total.

The programme focuses on strengthening civic-patriotic and spiritual-moral education. It encourages young people to engage with local heritage and community values. The *'Young Guardians'* movement and the broader *'We Are Together!'* project support these goals through events like the contest.

The contest has grown into a major annual event for Nizhny Novgorod's youth. Over nearly three decades, it has drawn well over a million participants. This year's final will again highlight the city's commitment to fostering pride and responsibility among its younger generation.
