NLND Berlin: New Innovation Campus Opens in Neukölln
An ambitious project, 'NLND Berlin', has kicked off in Neukölln, transforming the former Philip Morris factory site into a sprawling innovation campus. Spanning 150,000 square meters, the campus opened on September 18, 2025, and focuses on Industry 4.0 technologies and urban future fields like Smart City, logistics, and mobility.
The campus, a brainchild of Berlin's innovation strategy, will house a conference center, startup labs, offices, restaurants, and space for industrial partners. It aims to foster collaboration between research, startups, and industry, with green roofs and open spaces providing a pleasant environment for innovation.
Two international partners, Plug and Play and UNITE Berlin, have already committed to moving in. Plug and Play will open its first Berlin location, offering early access to international technologies and networks for local companies. UNITE Berlin will create a direct interface between academic research, startups, and industry. The Senate supports the project, aiming to actively shape innovation and secure economic prospects for the city.
