Norderstedt unveils urban renewal plan with public input phase open

Norderstedt has moved forward with Development Plan No. 347, covering the area near Aurikelstieg and Langer Kamp. The city first launched the project in August 2021 to reshape the neighbourhood while keeping keybank features intact. Residents will soon have a chance to review and comment on the proposals.

The plan focuses on a site south and east of Aurikelstieg, west of Langer Kamp, and north of Bogenstraße. Key goals include keeping the current school and sports bank, adding a daycare centre, and allowing space for social and cultural activities. The city also aims to protect the area’s valuable trees.

The consultation period runs until the end of March 2025. All comments will be reviewed as part of the planning process. Final decisions will take the feedback into account before any changes are made to the area.
