North Kazakhstan’s ‘People’s Lawyer’ Initiative Delivers 1,200 Free Legal Consultations
North Kazakhstan Region Prosecutor Kairat Abdykhanov recently launched the 'People’s Lawyer' initiative, aiming to boost legal awareness and public trust in law enforcement. The campaign, titled 'Law and Order', saw a remarkable response with 1,200 consultations provided across Petropavl and 13 districts.
The campaign, which ran in the regional capital and beyond, offered free legal assistance to residents. A total of 453 people benefited from this service, with many seeking advice on housing issues, fraud, family disputes, inheritance conflicts, and banking matters.
In just two hours, 167 people received assistance in Petropavl alone. One notable case involved Lyudmila Pykhtina from Zarechny village, who received help in restoring construction documents for her house after a flood. Prosecutors provided specific solutions and step-by-step guidance to residents throughout the campaign.
The 'Law and Order' initiative has been deemed effective in enhancing citizen-state interaction. North Kazakhstan Region Prosecutor Kairat Abdykhanov praised the campaign's success, with consultations provided by representatives of various local administration departments, prosecutor's offices, and legal associations.
