Kuper Meets Israel's President and Freed Hostages - North Rhine-Westphalia President Visits Israel, Meets Herzog, Honors Kibbutz Be’eri

President of the North Rhine-Westphalia state parliament, André Kuper, is in Israel for a diplomatic visit. He met with President Isaac Herzog and presented him with two prints by German artist Günter Uecker. The delegation will also visit Kibbutz Be’eri on November 1 to meet with released hostages and relatives of victims from the October 7, 2023 attack.

Kuper's visit aims to strengthen the bond between North Rhine-Westphalia and Israel, which he described as 'unparalleled and unbreakable'. He urged Yad Vashem chairman Dani Dayan to establish a regional branch in North Rhine-Westphalia, with Saxony and Bavaria also under consideration. The delegation's visit to Kibbutz Be’eri is a show of support for the community following the recent Hamas attack.

During his meeting with President Herzog, Kuper presented two prints by German nail artist Günter Uecker as a gesture of goodwill. The prints are a symbol of the strong cultural ties between the two nations.

Kuper's visit to Israel underscores the commitment of North Rhine-Westphalia to maintaining strong diplomatic and cultural ties with Israel.
