Northeast Frontier Railway celebrates Constitution Day with nationwide ceremonies
The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) marked Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 with events across its network. Ceremonies took place at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha in Maligaon, as well as at all five divisions and major railway stations. Officials and staff gathered to honour the Indian Constitution and its founding principles.
The main event at Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Sabha Griha began with General Manager Chetan Kumar Shrivastava reading the Preamble to the Constitution. He later spoke about the document’s importance, urging citizens and public servants to uphold its values. Tributes were also paid to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar and the Drafting Committee for their role in shaping the Constitution.
The day’s observances highlighted the NFR’s focus on constitutional integrity. By involving staff at all levels, the railway aimed to strengthen understanding of civic duties. The events concluded with a reaffirmation of loyalty to the Constitution’s guiding principles.
