Northern Kentucky's Public Safety Conference Returns with Star Speakers and Leadership Training
Northern Kentucky is set to host the second annual Emerging Leaders in Public Safety Training Conference on October 31 and November 1. The event aims to provide leadership training and recognise public safety efforts in the region. It is supported by prominent companies and features notable keynote speakers.
Colonel Spike Jones, Kenton County Police chief, emphasised the importance of public safety in community vibrancy. The conference is sponsored by a coalition led by Jones, along with Officer Ted Edgington, Life Learning Center President Alecia Webb-Edgington, and fire chiefs Scott Breeze and Corey Deye. It is backed by companies such as Axon, Motorola Solutions, and Safariland, and features keynote speakers like former Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo and former U.S. Assistant Attorney General Dr. Laurie Robinson.
The conference focuses on leadership development for emerging talent in police, fire, EMS, and telecommunication sectors. Dave Anderson will lead a session on character building on Saturday, with Major General (Ret.) Donald C. Storm delivering a motivational speech at the concluding Appreciation & Awards Dinner.
The two-day conference in Covington will provide valuable training and recognition for public safety professionals. It is a testament to the commitment of local leaders and businesses in fostering a vibrant and safe community in Northern Kentucky.
