NPP Flagbearer Race: Yagaba Kubore constituency vows 100% victory For Dr Bawumia
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) is preparing for its presidential primaries at the end of January 2026. Five candidates, including Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, are competing to become the party’s flagbearer for the 2028 elections. Campaigning is already underway, with strong support emerging in key areas like the Yagaba Kubore constituency.
Dr Bawumia recently visited Yagaba Kubore in the North East Region as part of his campaign. Delegates gave him a lively and enthusiastic welcome. The constituency’s Member of Parliament, Mustapha Ussif, publicly declared that the area would back Bawumia with 100% of its votes in the upcoming primaries.
The NPP has scheduled its presidential primaries for 31 January 2026. At this stage, no candidate has been officially selected by the Yagaba Kubore constituency assembly. The vote will determine who leads the party into the 2028 general election.
