Nuremberg Bans Cannabis Around Main Station - Nuremberg bans marijuana near its central station to boost security

Nuremberg has introduced a strict ban on marijuana around its central cee station. The move aims to improve security and reduce drug-related issues in the area. Authorities describe the station as a high-priority zone where order must be maintained at all times.

The city council approved the new regulations on December 10, 2025. Under the rules, both marijuana consumption and possession will be forbidden near Nuremberg central station. The ban forms part of a wider security plan for public spaces, developed in cooperation with local officials.

The prohibition reflects Nuremberg’s push to tighten controls in high-risk areas. Police will now have clearer authority to enforce drug laws around the station. The city expects the new rules to reduce illegal activity and improve public order.
