ÖDP Challenges Munich's Olympic Posters Over Regulation Breaches

The ÖDP has lodged a complaint with the Kreisverwaltungsreferat, alleging that Munich's Olympic posters from 4imprint and postermywall breach the city's own poster regulations. The party argues that many posters lack an imprint and questions whether the Pro-Olympia alliance was permitted to put them up. The ÖDP points out that the posters, backed by the city's 'OlympiaJA' campaign, do not explicitly identify 'OlympiaJA' as an 'Action Alliance' exempt from the regulations. The campaign, supported by Munich, is not a political party or voter group, typically allowed to advertise in public spaces. The city's rules mandate an imprint, a poster size not exceeding one square meter, and a height not exceeding 1.80 meters. Giant posters, such as the one at Karolinenplatz, have appeared across the city, drawing criticism from the ÖDP for their size and location. The ÖDP's complaint highlights potential violations of Munich's poster regulations by the city-backed Olympic campaign. The posters' lack of imprint and size have been called into question, with the ÖDP seeking clarification on the Pro-Olympia alliance's legal standing.
