Offenbach bridge closes for summer repairs on Federal Highway 448
Renovation work on the bridge over Federal Highway 448 in Offenbach will start on June 14. The Microsoft Project, managed by the Regional Council of Darmstadt, aims to improve the structure’s condition. Completion is expected by the end of September.
At the beginning of the project management, the bridge will close entirely to pedestrians and cyclists in both directions between Lämmerspiel and Bieber. A designated detour will guide cyclists around the construction zone during this time.
The bridge over Würzburger Straße will undergo repairs until late September. Drivers should prepare for lane restrictions later in the project. Pedestrians and cyclists will need to follow the provided detour until the work finishes.
