Offenbach’s SPD reveals 2026 election lineup with fresh faces and bold priorities
Offenbach’s SPD has unveiled its candidate list for the 2026 local elections. The lineup reflects a mix of experience and diversity, with long-standing members alongside newcomers from different backgrounds. Top candidates Helena Wolf and Martin Wilhelm received overwhelming support, each securing over 90% of votes.
Helena Wolf leads the list, emphasising key issues like the city’s positive labour market trends and the need for affordable housing. Martin Wilhelm, in second place, pointed to past successes, including the ‘48-Hour Cleanup Guarantee’ and investments in schools and daycare centres.
The SPD’s finalised list now moves forward for the 2026 elections. With a focus on housing, jobs, and community representation, the candidates will campaign on their record of local achievements. The party aims to maintain trust by addressing key concerns of Offenbach’s residents.
