Omsk Region Allocates 64 Million Rubles for Jobs and Social Support
The Omsk Region has pledged over 64 million rubles to boost jobs, aid low-income residents, and reinforce family support. Governor Vitaly Khotsenko shared the news on his Telegram channel, outlining key social and economic priorities for the area. The funding will cover multiple initiatives, including job creation schemes and financial help for struggling households. Part of the budget will also back projects from local non-profits aimed at improving community welfare. Earlier this year, the region set aside 3.4 million rubles for security measures at the under-construction Omsk-Fedorovka Airport. Unlike other Russian regions, Omsk has not introduced similar large-scale social funding in the past twelve months. All planned programmes are expected to roll out before the end of 2024. The 64 million ruble allocation will directly fund jobs, social assistance, and family services. Non-profits will receive support for their community-driven projects. Implementation is scheduled to complete within the current year.
