Orsingen-Nenzingen Earns Official Status as a Premier Recreation Resort
Orsingen-Nenzingen has been officially recognized as a recreation resort by the state of Baden-Württemberg. The small twin municipality, home to 3,600 residents, now joins 295 other locations across the region with this distinction. The title highlights the area’s natural beauty, climate, and strong leisure facilities for visitors.
The recognition follows a detailed assessment by the Landesgesundheitsamt Baden-Württemberg, the state health authority responsible for evaluating such sites. To qualify, Orsingen-Nenzingen had to meet strict criteria, including a well-developed tourism sector, attractive landscapes, and quality infrastructure. Key attractions like a modern campsite and the Carnival Museum played a significant role in securing the title.
With its new status, Orsingen-Nenzingen can now promote itself as an officially approved destination for relaxation and leisure. The title opens doors to greater investment in local tourism while reinforcing the municipality’s reputation as a well-equipped, visitor-friendly location. The next renewal assessment will take place in 2034.
