Osipov Urges Lawmakers to Boost Oversight of Regional Programs

Governor Alexander Osipov has urged lawmakers in Zabaykalsky Krai to step up oversight of regional and municipal programs. He stressed the importance of a robust public oversight system to hold deputies accountable. Residents are encouraged to closely monitor the work of their elected representatives and demand results.

Osipov called on various politicians across different levels to actively participate in overseeing the implementation of regional and communal programs. These include the deputies of the Regional Assembly, who are responsible for monitoring the budget and regional development. The Governor and the regional government, working closely with local authorities, are also tasked with implementing regional programs. Communal leaders, such as mayors and local councils, are responsible for executing communal programs. Additionally, representatives of the State Duma can play a role in supporting and overseeing regional development programs.

Osipov highlighted key areas for lawmakers to focus on, including housing and utilities, urban infrastructure, and social services. Residents are encouraged to monitor road repairs, wildfire preparedness, and the performance of housing and utility providers. The Governor emphasized that nearly 900 settlements in the region require strict oversight for wildfire prevention efforts.

Governor Osipov's call for increased oversight aims to ensure that regional and municipal programs meet the needs of Zabaykalsky Krai's residents. Lawmakers and communal leaders are urged to work together, with residents playing an active role in monitoring progress and demanding accountability.
