Ottawa police arrest suspect in two deadly stabbing incidents from October
Ottawa police have made an arrest in connection to two stabbing incidents that occurred last month. A 35-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder.
The first incident took place on Oct. 17 in the King Edward Avenue and York Street area. The victim, who was initially taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, later succumbed to their injuries on Oct. 30.
The following day, on Oct. 18, another stabbing occurred during a robbery in the Cumberland Street and St. Patrick Street area. The second victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Despite extensive searches, no information about the suspect was found in the search results.
The suspect, a 35-year-old man, is now facing charges for both incidents. The investigation is ongoing, and further details will be provided as they become available.
