Oy-Mittelberg Votes on March 8 to Shape Its Next Municipal Council

Residents of Oy-Mittelberg will head to the polls on March 8, 2024, to elect their municipal council. Voting stations will remain open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The election follows a period of stability in local leadership, with no recorded shifts in council composition since 2020.

The last municipal election in 2020 saw six groups compete for seats. The CSU secured the largest share with 30.6% of the vote. The Petersthal Citizens' Bloc followed at 20.4%, while the Mittelberg Community Bloc/Free Voters took 23.5%.

The Haslach List received 11.6%, and the Active List garnered 14%. Since then, no public records detail by-elections or changes to the council's makeup in this small Bavarian municipality.

Mayoral leadership also shifted recently. Lucas Reisacher, representing the CSU/Free Voters, became first mayor on February 24, 2024. He had won the 2023 mayoral race unopposed, earning 84.9% of the vote.

The 2024 election will determine the council's direction for the next term. With no documented changes since 2020, the results may reflect either continuity or a shift in local priorities. Official updates on the new council's composition will follow the vote count.
