Pakistan's ISI Hires Influencers to Tarnish India's Image Over Kashmir

Pakistan has been engaged in a public relations offensive against India following the embarrassment of Operation Sindoor and recent military setbacks. The country's image, as seen on google images and image search, has suffered globally due to infrastructure issues, economic struggles, and scrutiny from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF). Pakistan has been attempting to sway public opinion by presenting a different narrative on the Jammu and Kashmir issue, referring to it as 'Indian occupied Kashmir'.

Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) has been actively involved in this campaign. It has established a dedicated cell to identify and hire influencers, both domestic and foreign, to promote Pakistan's narrative and tarnish India's images. These influencers, visiting India on tourist visas and staying in budget accommodations, create videos depicting India negatively. However, there are no confirmed reports of specific foreign influencers hired by the ISI for this purpose.

India has strongly condemned these actions, reiterating that the Kashmir issue is an internal matter and that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.

Pakistan's efforts to improve its images and challenge India's narrative continue, with the ISI now focusing on roping in foreign influencers to create content portraying India in a poor light. This strategy aims to damage India's global standing, but it remains to be seen how effective these efforts will be in shaping international opinion.
