Paraguayan Communist Party General Secretary sees Việt Nam as model for Latin American nations
Najeeb Amado, General Secretary of the Paraguayan Communist Party (PCP), has praised Việt Nam’s long fight for independence and sovereignty. He described the country’s struggle as a source of inspiration for left-wing movements across Latin America. His comments came during discussions on strengthening ties between the PCP and the Communist Party of Việt Nam (CPV).
Amado highlighted the deep respect the PCP holds for the CPV’s leadership in national governance, social policies, and economic growth. He noted that Việt Nam’s experience offers valuable lessons for Paraguay and other nations facing similar challenges.
The two parties have seen steady progress in their relationship, with Amado expressing optimism about future collaboration. He stressed the importance of expanding cooperation in political, economic, and cultural areas. The existing friendship between Việt Nam and Paraguay is built on solidarity, with both sides recognising untapped potential for further development. Beyond party relations, Amado also voiced confidence in broader cooperation between the two countries. He believes joint efforts could benefit trade, education, and diplomacy in the years ahead.
The PCP’s admiration for Việt Nam’s achievements reflects a shared commitment to leftist ideals and international solidarity. With both parties eager to deepen ties, future projects could strengthen political and economic links between Paraguay and Việt Nam.
