Parking Will Become More Expensive: These Prices Apply From January
Parking fees in Goslar will go up from January 1, 2025. The city council approved the new rates in June 2024, with adjustments set for two different zones. All 46 parking meters will be updated to reflect the changes early next year.
The new pricing structure divides the city into two areas. Zone 1 will cost €2 per hour, while Zone 2 will charge €1 per hour. Mayor Oliver Junk and City Treasurer Dirk Kluge are overseeing the transition.
The reprogramming of parking meters was originally planned to start on May 1, 2024. However, the actual updates will now take place from January 5 to January 7, 2025. This delay ensures the new rates align with the official start date.
Drivers in Goslar will pay more for parking from the beginning of 2025. The updated fees will apply across all 46 meters once the reprogramming is complete. The city expects the changes to take full effect by January 7.
