Party Chief Lâm Kicks Off Border School Project in Nghệ An
Party General Secretary Tô Lâm attended the ground-breaking ceremony for a primary and secondary boarding school in Na Ngoi Commune, Nghệ An province. He urged local authorities to swiftly implement the project, highlighting the shortage of adequate schooling facilities in remote border communes.
The school, part of a project approved by the Politburo to build 248 schools in Vietnam's border areas, is expected to provide quality education and holistic development opportunities for over 1,900 students. Upon completion, it will cover an area of about 5.5ha with a total investment of nearly VNĐ240 billion (US$9.11 million). The school will feature 49 classrooms, dormitories, canteens, playgrounds, and experiential learning zones.
Secretary of the Nghệ An Party Committee Nguyễn Đức Trung pledged to facilitate the construction progress and prepare qualified teaching staff for the school. The Party chief stressed that the investment in 248 boarding schools is a humane and strategic policy to improve education and living standards for border residents.
The Na Ngoi Primary and Secondary Boarding School, with its iconic photo of President Hồ Chí Minh, is set to become a beacon of hope for the border region. Upon its completion, it will provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to grow and learn, contributing to the overall development of the community.
