Pastor Dewitz Bids Farewell to Aldingen After 18 Years
Pastor Ulrich Dewitz has bid farewell to the Aldingen congregation after 18 years of service. His departure was marked by a full church and heartfelt tributes from community leaders and fellow pastors.
Dewitz leaves Aldingen to take up the role of dean in the Rottweil church district. Mayor Ralf Sulzmann, who worked with Dewitz for just six months, expressed confidence in his successor's abilities. Sulzmann described the farewell as a joyous yet emotional event.
During his time in Aldingen, Dewitz made a significant impact. He oversaw the renovation of the Mauritius Church, introduced public viewing events, and initiated the construction of a new community center. His passion for his faith extended beyond the church doors, earning praise from Thorsten Kramer, pastor in Trossingen. Dewitz wished for Aldingen parish to remain a place of honesty and spiritual discovery.
Ina Wolfsberger, a member of the church council, emphasized gratitude over the pain of farewell. Marie-Luise Karle, pastor in Tuttlingen, praised Dewitz for fostering community and bringing people together in Aldingen.
