A new exhibition at Berlin's CAMERA WORK gallery celebrates the iconic work of renowned fashion photographer Patrick Demarchelier. Curated by his son, Victor Demarchelier, the show runs until November 15, 2025.
Patrick Demarchelier, born in 1943, rose to fame in the 1970s, working for Vogue and other fashion magazines. His natural and close portrait style earned him the title of official royal photographer for Princess Diana in the 1980s.
The exhibition, based on a new Rizzoli book, showcases Demarchelier's iconic portraits, famous fashion photos, and previously unpublished images. Visitors can expect to see stunning portraits of celebrities like Julia Roberts, Angelina Jolie, and Anthony Hopkins.
One of Demarchelier's most famous images, 'Christy with Mouse', takes centre stage on the book cover. The exhibition is a testament to the photographer's enduring influence on the fashion world.
