Patriotic Song and Poetry Contest Honors Military Artists in 2021

The winners of the Grand Prix at the patriotic song and poetry competition 'PerePrava' in 2021 were not widely publicised. The regional administration's press service revealed the victors in the categories 'Songs by Participants of the Special Military Operation' and 'Poems by Participants of the Special Military Operation'.

The event, now in its second year, took place over three stages from February to November. It brought together military personnel, Rosgvardiya officers, and volunteers from cities such as Krasnodar, Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tolyatti, Donetsk, and Luhansk. The contest celebrates those who use words and music to express resilience, faith, and love for their country.

Viktor Pikalov took the top prize in the 'Poetry by Special Military Operation Participants' category. Meanwhile, Viktor Goncharuk won the Grand Prix in the 'Songs by Special Military Operation Participants' category. A special segment of the event was a meeting with cultural workers who had served in the combat zone. Over a hundred authors and performers participated, with 15 finalists selected by an expert council and jury.

The 'PerePrava' contest, despite not widely disclosing its winners, honoured Viktor Pikalov and Viktor Goncharuk for their poetic and musical expressions of patriotism. The event continues to bring together those who serve and those who express their support through art.
