Pedestrian critically injured in Reinickendorf traffic collision last night
A 49-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured in a traffic accident in Reinickendorf last night. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on Zabel-Krüger-Damm, leading to temporary road closures. A 21-year-old driver was traveling along Zabel-Krüger-Damm toward Oraniendamm when the pedestrian suddenly entered the road from an unknown direction. The car struck the pedestrian, who was thrown into the air and landed injured on the street with head and leg injuries. The injured man was promptly taken to a hospital for inpatient treatment. The case, under accident case No. 0243, is being handled by a specialized unit of the Police Directorate 1 (North), with Dr. Müller serving as the specialist responsible. The incident led to the closure of Zabel-Krüger-Damm in both directions until approximately 9:30 p.m. to allow for investigation and clearance of the scene. The pedestrian, a 49-year-old man, suffered head and leg injuries in the accident. He was taken to a hospital for treatment. The police continue to investigate the incident, with the road since reopened to traffic.
