POL-HP: Viernheim – Police Seek Witnesses After Hit-and-Run Incident
Pedestrian's reckless crossing forces tram to halt, injuring passenger

On Friday (March 27) at around 8:15 p.m., a pedestrian crossed the tracks at OEG station on Berliner Ring 63, near Platform 2. As a result, an incoming tram on line 5, traveling toward Mannheim-Käfertal, had to perform an emergency stop. A passenger on the tram fell and sustained injuries. The unidentified pedestrian then fled the scene in the direction of Berliner Ring.
Witnesses who can provide relevant information about the incident or the suspect are asked to contact the Lampertheim-Viernheim police station.
