Petition Gains Momentum to Save DB Museum Halle
A petition is gathering momentum to halt the conversion of the DB museum in Halle (Saale). As of Tuesday, it has amassed around 6,560 signatures, with train enthusiasts and workers united in their opposition to the plans.
The German Train Drivers' Union (GDLO) has joined the fray, criticising Deutsche Bahn's decision to transform the museum grounds into a depot. They question why the museum, a labour of love for enthusiasts and employees over decades, should be closed.
The GDLO has called on train workers and fans to lend their support to the petition. The General Union of Engine Drivers (GDL) has also thrown its weight behind the campaign, urging all enthusiasts to participate.
The petition to save the DB museum Halle continues to gain traction, with over 6,560 signatures already collected. The GDLO and GDL's backing has added momentum to the cause, as train enthusiasts and workers rally together to preserve their heritage.
