Pforzheim police catch 46 speeders in high-risk crash zone enforcement
On Thursday, traffic police officers from Pforzheim monitored compliance with speed limits on District Road 4530 near Eisingen between 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM.
The checkpoint is located at a high-accident zone where two fatal crashes occurred last year.
Out of 627 vehicles measured, 46 were found to be speeding.
A total of 37 drivers exceeded the limit by up to 21 km/h (13 mph).
Nine motorists were recorded driving 21–30 km/h (13–19 mph) or more over the limit.
The results demonstrate that regular checks help improve road safety. Police will continue preventive measures and urge all road users to obey posted speed limits.
The operation is part of Baden-Württemberg's Vision Zero traffic safety strategy, which aims to eliminate serious accidents and reduce the number of fatalities and severe injuries to zero.
