The event, held in Jamindan, Capiz, is set to run for 31 days, starting from October 8, 2025. Colonel Jose R. Ramos, commander of the Army's 3rd Infantry Division, leads the exercise alongside Major General Michael Samson, commander of the 3rd Infantry (Spearhead) Division (3ID). The training covers a range of specialized modules, including mortar gunnery, combat stress and medical response, drone operations, personnel search, casualty collection point setup, and coastal defense maneuvers. These modules demonstrate a shared commitment to operational excellence and resilience.
Major General Samson emphasizes the significance of the exercise in bolstering defense cooperation between the two countries. It is part of a broader defense cooperation framework aimed at enhancing mutual defense capabilities and maintaining peace in the Indo-Pacific region.
The Philippines-Australia Army-to-Army Exercise (PAAAE) 'Kasangga 2025-02' is expected to conclude on November 8, 2025. The exercise underscores the commitment of both nations to fostering a strong and capable defense partnership, ready to face challenges in the region.
