Piers Morgan Clashes with Nick Fuentes Over Hitler and Holocaust Denial
Piers Morgan interviewed controversial white nationalist Nick Fuentes on Monday. The discussion quickly turned heated as Fuentes repeated claims that downplayed the Holocaust and defended his admiration for Adolf Hitler.
Fuentes has a history of promoting antisemitic conspiracy theories and questioning historical accounts of the Nazi genocide.
During the interview, Fuentes argued that Morgan’s hatred of Hitler and condemnation of the Holocaust were exaggerated. Morgan pushed back, challenging the extremist’s views more aggressively than previous interviewers.
In past appearances, Fuentes has called Hitler 'awesome' and 'right' on various issues. He has also repeatedly denied or cast doubt on the Holocaust, though in 2023 he admitted that at least 6 million Jews were killed. His stance has drawn comparisons to figures like Kanye West, who has similarly praised Hitler and denied the genocide.
Morgan’s approach contrasted sharply with Tucker Carlson’s earlier interview of Fuentes. Carlson faced criticism for his perceived leniency, while Morgan took a firmer line, pressing Fuentes on his extremist beliefs.
Gavin McInnes, another far-right commentator, has also hosted Fuentes and West, further amplifying their controversial views. Despite occasional concessions, Fuentes maintained his position throughout Morgan’s questioning.
The interview highlighted Fuentes’ persistent extremism and Morgan’s confrontational style. While Morgan secured some admissions, Fuentes continued to defend his views on Hitler and the Holocaust. The exchange reignited debates over how media figures should engage with far-right ideologues.
