Plane arriving from Novosibirsk to Sochi was obliged to return to the airport.

The S7 Airlines Boeing-737 flight from Novosibirsk to Sochi made an emergency return to its departure airport in Novosibirsk due to a technical problem related to the cabin pressure control system. The aircraft sent an emergency signal, turned around shortly after takeoff, and circled overhead while burning fuel following standard safety procedures before landing back safely at Tolmachevo Airport.

According to the information available, the return was due to a potential loss of cabin pressure. The press service of Tolmachevo Airport confirmed the return, and authorities and the airline are investigating the incident. It is understood that the issue was to check the sealing and pressurization systems of the plane's cabin, prompting the emergency return.

The S7 Airlines passenger aircraft departed from Novosibirsk Airport at 11:35 local time (07:35 Moscow time) but did not reach its intended destination. No details about the specific technical issue causing the return have been disclosed.

Over 200 people are currently working at the site of the An-24 plane crash in Tynda, but it is important to note that this incident involves a different aircraft and airline.

Authorities and the airline are arranging a replacement aircraft to continue the passengers' journey to Sochi. The pilots are awaiting clearance to land at Tolmachevo Airport.

Previously, there were restrictions on accepting aircraft at Sochi Airport, but these have been lifted by the time of publication.
