On Wednesday (June 18), allied aircraft joined forces in landing drills on Piibe maantee, a public road near Tallinn, to practice interagency coordination. This exercise tested Estonia's agility in swiftly responding to organize a landing.

Col. Fredi Karu, Chief of Staff of the Estonian Air Force, commended the efficient collaboration between the Estonian Defense Forces and various agencies. He emphasized that the exercise showcased the exemplary cooperation between the defense forces and local authorities, the Police and Border Guard Board (PPA), and their allies.

The colonel also extended his gratitude to the local municipality for their support during the exercise.

The exercises featured the Casa C-212 and C-130J aircraft. The versatile C-130J, a widely-used tactical transport aircraft, has four turboprop engines, can carry up to 20 tons of cargo, and boasts the ability to land on non-standard runways. Its smaller counterpart, the Casa C-212, is highly maneuverable, with two turboprop engines, and can transport up to 26 people or 2.8 tons of cargo.
