PM Anwar Ibrahim Represents ASEAN at G20 Summit in Johannesburg
Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is attending the G20 Leaders' Summit in Johannesburg from 20 to 23 November 2025. He was invited as Malaysia currently holds the chairmanship of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
Anwar arrived in South Africa with a delegation that includes Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Datuk Seri Zaliha Mustafa, government officials, and business leaders. His schedule features key discussions and meetings with world leaders.
Anwar’s participation underscores Malaysia’s role in regional and global economic leads. His statements at the summit will reflect ASEAN’s priorities and Malaysia’s stance on sustainable growth. The visit concludes on 23 November after a series of high-level engagements.
