PM Chinh Inspects Public Services in Remote Thanh Hoa, Praises Digitization Efforts
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh recently visited the public administrative service centre in Bat Mot Commune, Thanh Hoa Province, to inspect the settlement of administrative procedures and review the operation of the two-tier local administration model. The visit highlighted the province's efforts to improve public services, particularly in remote and mountainous areas.
Thanh Hoa has made significant strides in streamlining public services. All 2,272 administrative procedures have been standardized and integrated into the National Public Service Portal. Notably, 965 procedures are fully online, and 1,266 are partially online. This shift has been particularly beneficial in remote areas like Bat Mot, a mountainous commune with a predominantly Thai ethnic minority population.
The two-tier local administration model has proven effective in Thanh Hoa. The commune-level public administrative service centres, such as Bat Mot's, have processed applications efficiently with minimal staff. In Bat Mot, just four staff members handled 332 applications. The Prime Minister noted the people's satisfaction and trust in local authorities, attributing it to the efficient operation of this model.
During his visit, PM Chinh urged continued data integration and promotion of digital literacy. He emphasized the importance of encouraging the use of online public services, especially in remote and mountainous areas. He also called for flexible civil servant arrangements tailored to each locality's needs and proactive challenge addressing by local authorities.
Thanh Hoa's efforts in standardizing and digitizing administrative procedures have improved public services, particularly in remote areas. The visit by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh underscores the government's commitment to further enhancing these services and promoting digital literacy among citizens.
