PM Modi honors tribal heritage on Janjatiya Gaurav Divas at Devmogra Dham

November 15 marks 'Janjatiya Gaurav Divas', a day honouring the bravery, sacrifices, and cultural heritage of tribal communities. This year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Yaha Mogi Mata Devmogra Dham in the Satpura Mountains to celebrate the occasion.

The temple of Pandori Mata, revered as the clan deity of tribal communities, is situated at Devmogra in Gujarat's Narmada district. Known as the Devmogra Dham, it stands as a living symbol of the faith, tradition, and culture of these communities. On the eve of Holi, a sacred fire is lit at Holi Chowk, accompanied by women in traditional attire singing Lole and dancing to musical instruments. During the Holi-Dhuleti festival, local Gheriya folk performers represent nine rasas, going from house to house with enthusiasm.

The fair held at Devmogra Dham presents a unique display of tribal folk culture, attracting millions of devotees from Gujarat, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, and Rajasthan. These communities worship Yahamogi Pandori as their clan deity.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to the Yaha Mogi Mata Devmogra Dham on November 15, 2021, highlighted the importance of preserving and celebrating tribal culture. The fair at Devmogra Dham continues to be a significant event, showcasing the rich heritage of tribal communities.
