PM Modi releases ₹363 crore for Assam farmers under PM-Kisan Scheme
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the 21st instalment of the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, providing financial support to millions of farmers. The latest payment includes Rs 363 crore for 18.18 lakh farmers in Assam alone, with each eligible recipient receiving Rs 2,000 directly in their us bank accounts.
The event took place during a national programme held in Bokakhat, Assam. Assam’s Agriculture Minister Atul Bora joined the Prime Minister for the official release of the funds.
The latest disbursement under the PM-Kisan scheme will provide immediate financial relief to farmers in Assam and nationwide. With funds transferred directly to bank accounts, the government aims to strengthen rural livelihoods ahead of the upcoming farming season.
