PM Phạm Minh Chính Launches Border School Project in Thanh Hoá
Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính has attended the ground-breaking ceremony for a new primary and secondary boarding school in Báť Mot Commune, Thanh Hoá Province. The school is among six border schools to begin construction in 2025 under the Politburo's policy to build 248 boarding schools in border communes nationwide.
The project, covering an area of about 1.5 hectares, has a total investment of VNĐ170 billion (US$6.45 million). It includes classrooms, an administration building, and other facilities. The Politburo recently issued Resolution No 71-NQ/TW, deciding to build these schools to boost education and training development in border areas.
PM Chính stressed that the Party and State consider education and training a top national priority. He asked Thanh Hoá to continue supporting school construction in disadvantaged localities, particularly those damaged by storms and floods. He also praised the significance of these projects, especially those focusing on education and youth development. On the occasion, he presented gifts to the boarding school and disaster-affected residents, including warm coats for students.
The new school in Báť Mot Commune is expected to be completed by mid-2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year. The project aims to provide quality education and improve living conditions for students in border areas. The Government leader's visit and support highlight the importance of education and development in these regions.
