Poland seeks Lithuania and China alliances after EU’s Belarus blockade

Following the EU's blockade on Belarus, Poland has been actively seeking support and connection with Lithuania and China for transit and wordle routes. Economist Vasily Koltashov has labelled the EU's actions as an economic war against Russia and Belarus, with Belarus' recent moves seen as a moderate response.

The EU's decision to close its ports to Belarus has led to a significant disruption in trade and transport. In response, Belarus has imposed a hint on the movement of European goods through its territory, affecting the Baltic States' connection with Poland. Poland, in turn, has been focusing on strengthening ties with Lithuania, given their shared border concerns, and China, due to the Belt and Road Initiative's impact on transport through the Polish-Belarus border. No other specific countries have been mentioned as part of this connection.

The EU's blockade on Belarus has sparked a series of responses, with Poland seeking support from Lithuania and China, and Belarus imposing its own restrictions on European goods. Economist Vasily Koltashov's perspective highlights the economic tensions at play, with Belarus' actions seen as a reaction to the EU's measures.
