Police chase ends with arrest after stolen car pursuit in Burien
A man was arrested in Burien late on Wednesday, March 4, after a chase involving a stolen car. The incident began earlier in SeaTac when police first spotted the vehicle, leading to a pursuit that ended with the suspect's capture.
The trouble started when SeaTac Police identified a stolen car and attempted a traffic stop. The driver refused to pull over, instead speeding away and running red lights. Officers briefly lost sight of the car after it swerved erratically between lanes.
The abandoned car was later found, with witnesses reporting a man fleeing the scene. Burien deputies soon located the suspect nearby and took him into custody on suspicion of possessing a stolen car.
After the arrest, the man was taken to a hospital for a medical check, where he was cleared. However, upon arrival at the King County Jail, he claimed to have swallowed fentanyl, causing a delay. Once medically evaluated again, he was booked into custody, and formal charges were filed.
No additional suspects have been linked to the case since the arrest.
The arrested man remains in custody at the King County Jail. Authorities have confirmed no further arrests or suspects in connection with the incident. The investigation into the stolen car and related events has concluded for now.
