Police hunt fraud couple and missing brothers in two urgent cases
Police are actively searching for two pairs of suspects in separate cases. A female artist and her husband are wanted over a RM1.5 million land scam in Selangor. Meanwhile, authorities are also seeking public help to locate two missing brothers last seen driving towards Port Dickson in February 2023.
The first case involves a couple accused of selling non-existent land plots in Selangor. The scam resulted in a victim losing RM1.5 million in January 2023. Police have registered the suspects as wanted persons and believe they are currently hiding in Sarawak. The investigation is being conducted under Section 420 of the Penal Code for cheating.
A viral post on Threads previously claimed the artist's husband had defrauded the victim before a police report was filed. However, authorities have not confirmed direct links to the online allegations.
In a separate matter, police are appealing for information on Rasfaiza Rashid, 43, and Rasfaridzouan Rashid, 39. The brothers were last seen on February 24, 2023, heading towards Port Dickson. Rasfaiza is described as fair-skinned, of medium build, 168 cm tall, and weighing 72 kg. Rasfaridzouan has a stocky build, stands at the same height, and weighs 78 kg.
Anyone with details on either case is urged to contact Insp. Zailan Ahmad at 018-3186358 or 06-7612222.
The land scam suspects remain at large, with police continuing their search in Sarawak. The missing brothers have not been located since their disappearance over a year ago. Authorities rely on public cooperation to resolve both cases.
