Police officer stabbed by colleague inside Quezon City headquarters during breakfast
A policeman was stabbed by a fellow officer inside the Quezon City police headquarters on January 13, 2026. The attack happened during breakfast, just before a scheduled preliminary investigation into their case.
Both men had been held in restrictive custody since December 2025. They were accused of stealing P13 million in cash evidence linked to illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators in Bagac, Bataan.
Before the stabbing, an officer noticed the suspect acting unusually. When the victim tried to restrain him, the suspect attacked, stabbing the victim in the back. The wounded officer was quickly taken to the PNP General Hospital for treatment due to blood loss. The suspect is now under custody while facing administrative and criminal investigations.
The incident remains under investigation by Quezon City police. The suspect’s motives and the victim’s current condition have not yet been publicly confirmed. Authorities have not linked the case to any other recent incidents involving stolen evidence.
