Police raid at Telangana farmhouse nets 11 detainees, drugs, and a firearm

A police raid at a farmhouse in Moinabad, Rangareddy district, led to the detention of 11 people on Saturday night. The operation, carried out by the Elite Action Group for Drug Law Enforcement (EAGLE) team, followed reports of an unauthorised gathering taking place at the property.

The raid took place at around 9:30 PM after authorities received information about a party being held without permission. Upon arrival, officers discovered a group of individuals at the farmhouse. One person was found in possession of a firearm during the search.

Five people tested positive for drugs immediately at the scene. An additional person was later confirmed positive after blood samples were analysed at a hospital. In total, six individuals, including former BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy and TDP Eluru MP Putta Mahesh Kumar, returned positive drug tests. All 11 detainees were taken to a nearby hospital for further medical testing. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, though no further details have been released at this stage.

The operation resulted in six confirmed drug cases, with two high-profile figures among those identified. Authorities continue to examine the circumstances surrounding the unauthorised gathering and the presence of a firearm. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
